PART 141
FLIGHT SCHOOL
Airplane Programs
Orlando Flight School offers personalized and practical instruction, adapted to develop learning techniques that meet the needs of future pilots or experienced pilots. We strategically design our training programs for pilots with the highest safety standards and in a friendly and multicultural environment.

Private Pilot License
A private pilot license (PPL) allows a person to operate an aircraft in visual flight conditions during daylight hours as well as at night, and allows a person to carry passengers, so long as the pilot does not operate for hire and is not paid for the service.
Instrument Rating
The FAA Instrument Rating is an add-on rating to a pilot’s already existing private pilot license or commercial pilot license. This rating allows pilots to fly in weather conditions that are characterized as being below visual flight rules (VFR) established by the FAA. In short, this rating allows pilots to be able to fly in weather conditions that are more challenging and require specialized training.
Commercial Pilot License
The FAA Commercial Pilot License (CPL) is one of the final steps on a student’s path to becoming a professional aviator. While this license does not yet allow a person to become an airline pilot, it allows the pilot to be paid for their service and to work for many, non-airline flight operations.
CFI
The FAA certified flight instructor license, or CFI, allows a pilot to provide ground and flight instruction, enabling them to be paid for their teaching services. The initial CFI certificate allows an instructor to teach private and commercial students in a single engine aircraft.
CFII
In order for a flight instructor to be able to teach instrument students, they must first obtain their Certified Flight Instructor, Instrument rating.
Multi-Engine Add-On
Once a student obtains their private or commercial pilot certificate, they are licensed to operate in the
category and class of aircraft that they completed their checkride in. Since most people accomplish these tests in a single engine airplane, they are limited to operating single engine aircraft. Orlando Flight School offers a Multi-engine Add-on program, that will provide training for students to be licensed in a multi-engine aircraft as well.
MEI
For a flight instructor to be able to teach multi-engine students, they must first obtain their Multi-Engine Instructor Rating.
Conversion Foreign Pilot License
A pilot who holds a license in a foreign country needs to complete a Verification of Authenticity of Foreign License and Medical Certification form as required by the FAA in order to operate an aircraft in the United States.
Regardless of the amount of training received outside of the U.S., students may only convert to an FAA Private Pilot Certificate. Orlando Flight School can assist with this entire process. The foreign license verification process can take up to 90 days, so the applicant needs to plan ahead, be proactive, and submit the proper documentation
